The former Regal Cinema
is situated in Birmingham Gardens, Newcastle NSW. The owners are
Newcastle City Council. It closed on October 31st 2006.
The Friends of the Regal Trust is dedicated to the refurbishment
and maintance of the former cinema and promoting associated activities.
The Friends of the Regal support group meet on the third Wednesday
of the month at the Jesmond Neighbourhood Centre. Enquiries to David

The 'Friends of the Regal' has been formed to re-open and
run the Regal Cinema at Birmingham Gardens as a community
managed project.
We are now part of the Jesmond Neighbourhood Centre Inc.
and are working with Newcastle City Council.
